KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and execute marine geophysical projects from planning to completion, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise data acquisition, processing, interpretation, and reporting for geophysical surveys.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to meet project objectives and deadlines.
- Oversee field teams, ensuring proper equipment use, data quality, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide expert guidance on geophysical methodologies and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Minimum of a Master’s degree in Geophysics, Marine Science, Geology, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred.
- Experience Requirement:
- Candidates with a Ph.D. must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in marine geophysics.
- Candidates with a Master’s degree must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in marine geophysics.
- Professional experience managing marine geophysical projects and teams.
- Strong knowledge of geophysical survey techniques, including sub-bottom profiling, side-scan sonar, magnetometry, and multi-beam bathymetry.
- Familiarity with geophysical software and data interpretation tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with offshore wind, oil and gas, or environmental geophysical surveys.
- Knowledge of GIS applications in geophysical data analysis.
