Cook - Full-Time
Join our team and make a difference to your community. We specialize in caring for residents with complex medical conditions including diabetes, heart and lung disease, dementia and cancer. At McKinley Care, we listen to the needs of our residents. We work with our community members to customize options that will help them lead the lives they want.
The Cook prepares nutritious meals appropriate for residents, visitors, and staff of varying ages and dietary needs. Efficiently prepares menu items using standardized recipes and presentations for dining room service. Ensures excellent customer service while enhancing the dining experience. Work closely with the staff in an efficient, courteous and dedicated manner to ensure that the residents' expectations are exceeded.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) years experience as a cook in an institutional or restaurant setting
- Current Alaska Food Worker Card
- Willing to work long hours, various shifts, on holidays and weekends
- Must be at least 18 years of age per State of Alaska DHHS Job Requirements.
POST JOB OFFER REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to pass the State of Alaska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) background check criteria.
- Must be able to comply with the State of Alaska DHHS annual tuberculosis (TB) testing requirements.
