Position Overview :
As a Land Acquisition Manager at McKinley Homes, you will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and securing land acquisition opportunities in the Charlotte metro market. This position requires a motivated individual with a deep understanding of local real estate, zoning, and entitlement processes, as well as a strong network of industry professionals. You will work closely with our development team to ensure that land acquisition processes run smoothly, and projects move forward on schedule.
Key Responsibilities :
- Land Acquisition Strategy : Identify and assess land acquisition opportunities in the Raleigh metro market, leveraging an extensive network of real estate brokers, attorneys, engineers, and community contacts.
- Market Knowledge : Stay informed about market trends, property values, and regulatory changes, with a deep understanding of local zoning, permitting, and entitlement processes.
- Networking & Relationship Building : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including brokers, attorneys, engineers, community leaders, and government officials to facilitate land acquisition opportunities.
- Valuation & Analysis : Prepare detailed land valuation analysis, feasibility studies, and memoranda for review and executive approvals.
- Negotiation & Contract Management : Lead negotiations and prepare Letters of Intent (LOIs) and land acquisition contracts.
- Due Diligence & Entitlements : Manage the due diligence process, including scheduling and overseeing external consultants, reviewing property documents, and assisting with zoning and entitlement approvals.
- Land Banking & Reporting : Oversee internal Land Banking projects, coordinating closings, draws, and monthly reporting while monitoring project progress to ensure timely execution.
