Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities:
· Responsible for the operation and efficiency of the installation department
- Responsible for supervising, training and development of installers
- Performs job walks, pre-inspections and inspections
- Utilize various forms of communication (phone, emails, text) in order to accomplish the position objective
- Responsible for the oversight of installation (acceptable quality, within budget and within schedule)
- Identifies and implements solutions to make the department more efficient
- Creates a customer centric mindset in the department
- Verifies installations are performed to code and the manufacturers guidelines
- Creates installation and warranty KPI’s and monitors those KPI’s for constant improvement
- Provide telephone support for customers, contractors and installers
- Act as a liaison between the company and manufactures
- Review details of the order with the appropriate sales representative prior to any field work
- Review the details of the order with the customer at all jobwalks and clearly in writing define “Work By Others”
- Review all approved submittals
- Extensive involvement in the hiring process, performance reviews and disciplinary actions of installers
- Create a Safety Mindset within the department for both on the job as well as driving
- Successful installations are the result of Planning, Planning, Planning
- All communications with customers and suppliers documented in writing
