The Position: We are looking for a Case Manager, who is willing to embrace McKinley’s mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The Case Manager is responsible for working in conjunction with the Federal Field Specialist to identify potential sponsors for unaccompanied children. The Case Manager will assist in coordinating the Individual Service Plans for unaccompanied children to aid in the transition of unaccompanied children to their prospective release plans.

Compensation And Benefits

The pay range we’re offering is $25.00- $29.00 hour depending (Based) on experience.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, human services or social services required.
• The Case Manager at a minimum is bilingual in English/Spanish or identified needed language to meet the needs of the unaccompanied children served in the program.
• Child welfare and/or case management experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other office-related software.
• Possess superior oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Able to work independently and organize multiple projects with minimum supervision.
• Able to work as a team member.
• Able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professional boundaries with clients and staff.
• Able to represent the agency professionally and appropriately with all constituencies.
• Must pass pre-employment health screen including physical exam, TB and drug screen
• Ability to drive to various sites on and off campus
• Ability to lift 10 pounds for filing
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel
• VACCINATIONS REQUIRED: Be able to show proof of immunization or immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route, including:
• Varicella: two doses of varicella vaccine (at least four weeks apart) OR born in the United States before 1980 with a reported history of chickenpox (verified by an adult present at the time of illness) OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from a healthcare provider verifying previous infection.
• MMR: two doses of MMR vaccine (at least four weeks apart) OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseases.
• Tdap: one Tdap dose.
• Influenza: one dose annually during flu season.
• DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index
• Insurability under corporate automobile insurance
  

Key Responsibilities

• Case Manager will maintain a caseload of clients and follow them from admission to discharge.
• Continually assess the need of unaccompanied children in care.
• Responsible for completing appropriate documentation, assists with the implementation of the unaccompanied child’s Individual Service Plans.
• Screen for human trafficking concerns and facilitate the release and discharge of children and youth.
• Completing all case management related documentation in the UC Portal within the required timelines.
• The ability to implement case plans through good professional judgment while maintaining a team approach is essential.
• Crisis intervention and client de-escalation skills are necessary and valued.
• Liaison with the UCs, FFS, families and sponsors.
• Other related duties as assigned.
