JOB DESCRIPTION : PRIMARY PURPOSE :
PRIMARY PURPOSE :
Ensure a high degree of safety and security for McKinney ISD personnel, students, visitors, and property.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
Know whom to contact regarding charges, collection procedures, and parking lot problems
Communicate with campus administrators regarding any breach of security on or near the student parking lot
Admit vehicles with valid parking stickers
Allow no cars to be removed during the school day without a pass, early release permit, or work permit properly signed by an authorized administrator
Allow no students onto the lot for any reason without a proper pass during the school day
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors within the line of authority

Tools / Equipment Used :
District vehicles, communications equipment, trash collection materials, electric cart; and standard office equipment including computer and peripherals
Posture :
Prolonged sitting and standing; frequent stooping and bending; continuous walking
Motion :
Strenuous walking and climbing stairs; occasional keyboarding and use of mouse, moderate driving
Lifting :
Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 60 pounds)
Environment :
Work inside and outside (moderate exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather); moderate exposure to noise and vehicle exhaust;
exposure to dust, slippery or uneven walking surfaces; frequent district-wide travel.
Communications :
Will communicate with supervisors and building administrator only, as confidentiality is critical. Visiting with school personnel or students on matters not pertaining to work is prohibited.
Mental Demands :
Maintain emotional control under stress; work alone.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board Policy on Evaluations.

Ability to work under pressure in crisis situations
Ability to communicate via Two-way radio
Ability to work within a diversified culture
Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds without assistance
Health adequate to perform essential functions of the job
Clear and valid Texas drivers license
