McKinney Media Head of Data Analytics and Technology
Job Summary:
The Head of Data Analytics and Technology at McKinney Media will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive data, ML and AI strategy to innovate and enhance McKinney Media's media offering. This leader will build teams and systems to better understand how to solve client’s advertising challenges, reach audiences across all mediums, and quantify our contribution to our clients’ bottom lines.
The day to day job requires balancing two key focus areas: product: development and client services. Developing products and platforms will help with media planning, activation and automation. Client service will be managing relationships and high profile technical products.
The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, strategic leadership, and a passion for the advertising industry. We are looking for a passionate leader with the ability to creative problem solve and set the technical direction for our media and data teams.
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in the advertising industry, with a proven track record of success.
- Deep understanding of all of the common components in the ad tech stack
- Familiarity with real-time bidding (RTB) and programmatic advertising.
- Firm grasp of data privacy regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Knowledge of other relevant topics such as data ethics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a data and AI strategy aligned with McKinney Media's mission and creative vision to bring AI to the core of McKinney Media.
- Champion data-driven and AI-enhanced decision-making across all teams to achieve innovative and impactful outcomes.
- Allocate resources and manage a budget to implement your strategic vision.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration across Cheil Affiliate Agencies that drive results for clients and McKinney Media.
- Set the vision for data and technology that is a strong foundation for an AI-Agent based future.
- Build new product or service offerings for internal and external clients.
- Help manage key client relationships.
- Expert Communication:
- Communicate in a clear and concise manner to executives and clients.
- Help teach technical concepts to your team and the agency as a whole.
- Cultural Insights:
- Build systems and frameworks to analyze and understand cultural trends and dynamics that shape consumer behavior.
- Provide actionable insights to position brands in culturally relevant and attention-grabbing ways.
- Audience Understanding:
- Implement tools and methodologies to determine what creative content resonates with different audiences.
- Use data to inform campaign strategies and optimize audience engagement.
- Generative Applications:
- Develop and deploy generative AI applications that enhance creative ideation and execution.
- Collaborate with creative teams to ensure generative tools integrate seamlessly into workflows and amplify creative potential.
- Data Management and Governance:
- Oversee the collection, organization, and management of data assets with a focus on accuracy, security, and accessibility.
Salary Range
Our estimated range for this role is $250k - $300k
Compensation packages are based on the skill level and experience each candidate brings to their role. There may also be a more senior or junior position available that could be a better fit with your expertise. Each level has its own compensation range.
