Key Responsibilities:
Test Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy, test plans, and test cases for SAP projects.
- Define scope, objectives, and deliverables for all testing phases, including Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, and Regression Testing.
- Identify test environments and data requirements.
Test Execution and Management:
- Oversee end-to-end testing activities, including test preparation, execution, and defect tracking.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure all SAP modules and integrations are tested thoroughly (e.g., FICO, MM, SD, HCM, etc.).
- Ensure all testing meets quality standards and aligns with project timelines.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Lead and mentor the testing team, including assigning responsibilities, tracking progress, and providing guidance.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, functional consultants, and business stakeholders, to resolve issues.
Defect Management:
- Establish and manage a defect tracking process to log, prioritize, and resolve defects effectively.
- Work closely with technical teams to troubleshoot and fix issues in a timely manner.
SAP Expertise:
- Provide expertise in SAP testing tools and methodologies (e.g., HP ALM, SAP Solution Manager, Test Automation tools).
- Ensure thorough testing of SAP systems, including configuration, customizations, workflows, and interfaces.
Reporting and Metrics:
- Prepare and present testing progress reports, metrics, and dashboards to stakeholders and leadership.
- Monitor KPIs such as defect density, defect leakage, and test coverage to ensure continuous improvement.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all testing activities comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential risks in the testing process and implement mitigation strategies.
Automation and Continuous Improvement:
- Drive test automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Continuously improve testing processes by adopting best practices and lessons learned from past projects.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 6 years of experience in SAP testing, including leading testing teams.
- Hands-on experience with SAP modules and their testing requirements.
- Experience with large-scale SAP implementations, migrations, or upgrades.
