PROPOSAL MANAGER

Your Role (High level):
The Proposal Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the development of proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for qualifications (RFQs), and other solicitation documents. This role involves working closely with technical teams, marketing, and business development to produce high-quality, competitive proposals that align with the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development: Lead the proposal development process from start to finish, including planning, writing, editing, and submission.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with subject matter experts, technical writers, graphic designers, and other team members to gather necessary information and ensure timely completion of proposals.
- Compliance: Ensure all proposals comply with client requirements and company standards, including formatting, content, and submission guidelines.
- Content Management: Maintain and update a library of proposal content, including resumes, project descriptions, and standard responses.
- Quality Assurance: Review and edit proposal content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Strategy: Develop win themes and strategies to enhance the competitiveness of proposals.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to clarify requirements and address any questions or concerns during the proposal process.
- Graphics Development: Create and edit graphics, charts, and other visual elements using Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to enhance proposal presentations.
- Template Design: Develop and maintain proposal templates and style guides to ensure a consistent and professional appearance.
- Project Sheets: Interview project managers and other key personnel to gather detailed information and develop comprehensive project sheets that highlight project scope, challenges, solutions, and outcomes.
- Marketing Collateral: Support the development of marketing collateral as needed, including brochures, presentations, and other promotional materials.
- Reporting: Track and report on proposal status, success rates, and other key metrics.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in proposal management in the Architecture, Engineering or Construction (AEC) industry. 5 years’ experience completing RFP responses WITHOUT supervision.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for graphics development and editing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) and proposal management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to on multiple proposals and other critical tasks concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of AEC industry standards and practices.
- Strong interviewing and information-gathering skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Deltek Vantagepoint or Deltek Vision
- Proficiency with social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) a plus
- Proven ability to identify process gaps and recommend reasonable and streamlined approaches to serve the business.
- Ability to work overtime as needed to meet proposal deliverable requirements
- Certification in proposal management (e.g., APMP).
