The Certified Nursing Assistant at McKnight Place Extended care is responsible for ensuring the quality care of residents by providing nursing care and by assisting Charge Nurses as necessary. The Certified Nursing Assistant also represents McKnight Place Extended Care to residents, their guests, families and the community. Each employee makes a significant contribution to our success in fulfilling our mission to safely provide the highest quality services, programs and facilities possible to enhance the quality of life for each resident, each and every day.
Responsibilities :
- Provide direct resident care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring.
- Monitor resident conditions, observe for changes in behavior, and promptly report any concerns to the Charge Nurse.
- Assist residents with mobility, including ambulation, transfers, and wheelchair assistance.
- Perform basic nursing skills under the direction of the Charge Nurse.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
- Promote resident independence and dignity.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Participate in team meetings and in-service training.
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
