McKnight Place Extended Care, an exclusive Long-Term Care Facility, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Medicare experience to fill a full-time Evening / Night Shift position. We are looking for a professional, dependable, and caring individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents.
As an LPN at McKnight Place, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment, providing high-quality care while fostering meaningful relationships with residents and their families.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Providing direct nursing care to residents in accordance with state and federal regulations and “Best Practices.”
- Assessing, diagnosing, and treating residents’ medical conditions and monitoring their health status.
- Recognizing and responding to changes in residents’ conditions, notifying physicians and families, and taking appropriate action.
- Supervising CNA and CMT assignments, ensuring adherence to resident care plans and addressing any updates or changes.
- Establishing and managing procedures for admission, transfer, and discharge of residents.
- Administering medications, treatments, and nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled residents.
- Educating residents and families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation.
- Facilitating referrals to healthcare professionals or medical facilities as needed.
- Providing emotional support and fostering a positive environment for residents and their families.
