Summary : Enru Logistics and Postal Optimization is seeking an experienced and motivated Freight Broker to join our team and play a critical role in coordinating freight shipments and ensuring seamless delivery for our clients. The Freight Broker will serve as the key liaison between shippers and carriers, negotiating contracts, managing logistics, and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders. This role sits onsite in Bolingbrook, IL.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain a network of reliable carriers and shippers to meet transportation needs.
- Negotiate freight rates and contracts with shippers and carriers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the shipping process.
- Schedule and coordinate freight shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor the progress of shipments and resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Use transportation management systems (TMS) to track and manage shipments.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, freight rates, and industry regulations.
- Analyze shipping data and recommend strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation, including contracts, shipping invoices, and freight bills.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with shippers and carriers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive repeat business.
- Meet or exceed sales and performance targets.
