We are seeking to find the right professional to join our team to continue the upward trajectory, supporting the growth of the Company and the team responsible for that growth.
Position Summary: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the Company's weekly payroll, including the management of exempt and non-exempt employees, seasonal, full-time, part-time, and employees. This position also administers the day-to-day operation of the Company's employee benefits plan and Human Resource concerns. The Payroll Specialist ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hourly laws and best practices.
Essential Functions:
- Process the weekly payroll cycle for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including timekeeping, deductions, and employee information within various systems.
- Administer the Company's benefits plan, including initial enrollment, changes, and compliance with regulations.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for the Controller and other stakeholders.
- Address payroll-related concerns and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the Operations Department to ensure proper onboarding, training, and offboarding of employees in the payroll system and HR systems, including recovery of Company property, as necessary.
- Update themselves, and staff as necessary, on changes in payroll and tax laws and implement necessary adjustments to payroll processes.
- Assist with year-end tasks, including W-2 processing and year-end engagement support.
- Provide training and support to employees on the use of the payroll and time reporting system, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
