What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Content Developer - Sales & Marketing position at McLanahan?
This Training Content Developer position is focused on supporting McLanahan Corporation's various sales and marketing teams around the world in creating engaging training materials for both dealers and customers. This position will work closely with subject matter experts across the company's business units to determine how to best present highly technical content to external stakeholders. This could include everything from lunch and learn presentations to equipment maintenance information. The role is best suited for someone with extremely strong time and project management skills, as well as someone who enjoys creating visual presentations of information.
Essential Functions / Key Accountabilities :
- Develop engaging educational training programs by working with subject matter experts and leadership, as well as customers and distributors to understand training and education needs
- Play a key role in the organization of information, keeping others on task and on deadline in providing key content
- Develop storyboards based on needs assessments and gain alignment with stakeholders on relevance and accuracy of content
- Lead the design efforts around external educational content, including creating engaging presentations and working with key marketing team members on videos and interactive content
- Utilize instructional design principles to create effective and interactive learning experiences that can be used to train both in office and on site
- Evaluate and revise training materials based on feedback and performance metrics, as well as establishing a content maintenance plan to ensure materials stay relevant and are up to date
- Develop and manage learning development projects in terms of time, budget and resources
- May play a role in the coordination of trainings and events based on needs of the marketing team, as well as being responsible for any e-learning implementation for sales- and marketing-related external trainings

This position is based out of our corporate office in Hollidaysburg, PA, USA, but remote work will be considered for candidates with significant experience in the equipment manufacturing sector with a proven track record of working remotely. Travel to trainings and events may be necessary. Candidates should be willing and able to travel as needed.
