JOB OVERVIEW
McLane Global is seeking a motivated and experienced Distribution Center (DC) Warehouse Manager to oversee the operations of our distribution centers. This individual will be responsible for managing the entire supply chain process, ensuring effective collaboration with customers and suppliers, supervising and evaluating team performance, and maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations. This role may require working early, late, or weekend shifts, with potential overtime during peak periods. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership skills, a commitment to excellence, and a hands-on approach to operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operations Management: Oversee daily warehouse and delivery functions to ensure customer needs are met and financial objectives are achieved.
- Inventory Control: Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and monitor the quality, quantity, and location of products in storage.
- Compliance: Maintain full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including HACCP, OSHA, USDA, FDA, and DOT standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage employee schedules, ensuring efficient workflow, while overseeing hiring, training, discipline, and performance appraisals.
- Customer and Employee Relations: Resolve customer and employee complaints and issues in a timely manner. Provide guidance to employees on best practices for handling, storing, and shipping products.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Enforce safety protocols and company policies to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
- Communication: Foster clear communication between internal teams and external clients, addressing delivery issues or concerns as they arise.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in warehouse processes and work practices to drive operational efficiency.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure accurate shipment tracking and delivery status updates.
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing coaching and additional training where necessary.
- Assist in recruiting and training new employees, ensuring all team members meet operational and safety standards.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Education: College degree preferred.
- Experience: 5-10 years of management experience, ideally in a warehouse or logistics environment.

- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams.
- Excellent numerical abilities for managing finances, databases, and spreadsheets (Dynamics AX, Excel, Word).
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience in customer service with a focus on quality and satisfaction.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Dynamics AX, Excel, and Word.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Keyboarding: Up to 8 hours per day.
- Sitting/Standing: Ability to alternate between sitting and standing as needed.
- Communication: Up to 8 hours per day, requiring clear verbal communication.
- Physical: Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 20 lbs and walk throughout the warehouse for up to 8 hours per day.
