Job Details
Under the direction and supervision of a radiologist / physician, performs specialized radiographic procedures.
Also performs general diagnostic procedures as required.
Performs radiographic diagnostic / interventional special procedures by following and verifying referring provider’s orders.
Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
Educates patients and families regarding procedure and / or treatment to be performed.
Produces high quality images and prepares / presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation.
Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements.
Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors.
Adheres to radiation safety policies.
Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice.
Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department.
Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of service.
Performs other related duties as required and directed.
Job Requirements
AHA BLS - Required
Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program - Required
Registered as a Radiologic Technologist - Required
One year related job experience - Required
Michigan license verification is required for nurses.
Additional Details
References NOT required.
A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. All other professions outside of Nursing are not required but preferred.

Full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
