Key Accountabilities
- Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility’s geographic location and The Global Operating System Plays.
- OHSAS 18001:2007 Health and Safety management system standard.
- ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management system standard.
- TS 16949 Technical Specification Management and Linamar Quality Basics system standards.
- Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors.
- Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.
- Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements.
- Maintain department 5S requirements.
- Familiarity with McLaren’s Business Management System (BMS).
- Lead various analysis and accounting tasks including preparing journal entries, supporting schedules, account analysis, reconciliations and month end reporting to assure business transactions are accurately reflected in financial reporting.
- In coordination with the engineering teams, develop management reports to provide timely, relevant and actionable information by product line and department.
- Assist in the development of budgeting, forecasting and actual reporting systems to produce analysis and accounting information for management decision-making.
- Assist in development of financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and financial cycles, including long range plans and annual plans. This includes developing forecasts and projections for revenues, costs, and cash flows for all key aspects of the business and articulating key business drivers and assumptions that underpin financial projections.
- Support project-based time statement process for advanced engineering projects.
- Assist and support with preparation and execution of invoicing, revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, inventory and cost variance analysis, payroll and A/P processes, and other general ledger activities for multiple entities.
- Analyze P&L and B/S trends using key operational metrics, while providing insight into future risks and opportunities.
- Provide support to internal and external auditors supporting audits and providing support to key annual initiatives including fixed asset and inventory audits and compliance.
- Lead and support special projects with a focus on lean operational efficiency and improvements of KPI’s in support of the entity.
- Ad hoc assignments and other duties as assigned by Accounting Management.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Finance or Accounting and 3-7 years of experience. Experience in the automotive industry required
- Strong financial and business acumen and comprehension of financial and accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent MS Office skills, specifically MS Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookups).
- Knowledge of BOM and manufacturing cost accounting is desirable.
- Knowledge of IFS and SAP-BPC is highly desirable.
