Position Summary : Under direct supervision, provides personal and homemaking services to ill, convalescing, elderly, and disabled persons in the patients' home.Essential Functions and Responsibilities : 1. Provides personal care of a patient, including bathing, grooming / hygiene, and toileting.2. Takes and records daily vital signs. Reports all vital signs that are outside the normal range.3. Assists patients with positioning / turning, transfers, catheter care, and range of motion exercises.Required : ⦁ High school diploma or equivalent.⦁ Successful completion of a written home health / hospice competency test and the clinical skills testing.⦁ Certification as Home Health Aide (CHHA).⦁ State of Michigan CNA Certification⦁ Current state driver's license, proof of insurance, a reliable vehicle and be a responsible driver.Preferred : ⦁ Six months of experience with a variety of patients.Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities / Females / Disabled / VeteransAdditional Information
