Position Summary:
Under the supervision of an RN, assists and supports the nursing staff by performing basic nursing care to patients. Assists and maintains a safe and clean environment. Maintains patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and respect patient rights.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Responsible to Charge Nurse
- Provides direct and indirect patient care (nutrition, elimination, hygiene, mobility, safety).
- Assists with or performs basic nursing procedures (e.g. follow-up, IV’s, saline locks, sterile & unsterile dressings, NG’s, wound care, trach care, vitals, glucometers, colostomy care).
- Maintains appropriate equipment and supplies for the patient.
- Reports and records observations in the electronic record.
Required:
- Must have completed two semesters of clinical rotations in an accredited program.
- Completes SNT orientation check-off with Preceptor, once completed can perform duties independently with preceptor co-signing.
- BLS certification at hire.
