Position Summary :
Provides direction, support and leadership in all areas of medical staff services support and system credentialing process, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively. Regularly reviews and revises, as necessary, credentialing standards and ensures procedures performed comply with all hospital, system and regulatory agency standards. Assists medical staff leadership in development, implementation and adherence to medical staff organization governing structure and documents, as well as adherence to accrediting body and state / federal regulatory requirements. Assists with identifying, analyzing and responding to physician concerns, implementing strategies to enhance communications with physicians and other health care providers.
Qualifications :
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Four years of medical staff and credentialing experience.
- Certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or certification within 2 year of eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in health care administration
- Certification by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as a Certified Professional in Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or certification within 2 year of eligibility.
