Position Summary:
Performs patient visits for the administration of infusion medications, assessment and teaching of home therapies which include, but are not limited to: Immune Globulins, Immunomodulators, Parenteral Nutrition and antibiotic therapy. Performs on-call duties. Participates in in-service education for agency personnel and referral sources. Participates in CQI activities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Performs patient visits for the administration of infusion medications, assessment and teaching of home therapies which include, but are not limited to: Immune Globulins, Immunomodulators, Parenteral Nutrition and antibiotic therapy. Performs on-call duties. Participates in in-service education for agency personnel and referral sources. Participates in CQI activities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Makes home visits to assigned ITN patients who require infusion medications.
- Performs venipuncture, PICC insertions, blood draws and dressing changes, as required.
- Administers infusions in the home setting following ITN policies and procedures.
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
- Minimum of two years medical/surgical hospital experience.
- Venipuncture skills.
- Extensive knowledge of infusion therapy.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends to accommodate patient needs.
- Valid Michigan driver’s license, good driving record and proof of current automobile insurance.
- Infusion experience preferred.
- One year home care experience desirable
