Supervisor Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary: Supervises and coordinates the work of employees who repair and maintain buildings/facilities. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. May be involved in new construction or modification of existing properties. Receives customer repairs and maintenance requests, determines appropriate actions and assigns work to employees.Coordinates requests for outages and utility shutdowns related to scheduled projects. Provides input into the development of department policies and procedures. Ensures employees maintain current knowledge of techniques and procedures. Assist in meeting the business, financial, customer, service quality and regulatory requirements of the area.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Establishesschedulesandmethods forp r ovidi n g facil i ty m a intena n ceservices;identi f iesreso u rceneeds;reviewsneedswithappropriate m a n a gementstaff;allocatesresourcesaccordingly.
• Accomplishes human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
• Meets maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolves problems.
• Participatesinthepreparationandad m i nistrat i onofthefacilitymaintenance b udget;sub m itsbudgetrec o mmenda t ions; m onitorsexpenditures;preparescostest i m ates;s u b m itsjustificationsforequipment; m onitorsbud g etexpenditu r es; identifies variances; implements corrective actions.
• Monitorsandcontrolssuppliesande q uip m ent;or d e rssuppliesandtools as necessar y ; preparesdocu m entsf o requip m entprocure m ent;preparesspecif i cationsandcontractsforcontractservices.
• Monitors and maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment including adhering to a preventive maintenance program; operates and tests systems and equipment; restores, repairs, rebuilds, or replaces faulty or inoperative components and parts.
• Improves function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by studying performance results; identifies recommends, and implements changes, expansions, and additions.
• Perfo r msthe m o r etechnic a landco m p l e xtasksoftheworkunit as needed.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complies with legal codes and regulations.
• Stays current on knowledge of technology and state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two y earsofcollegelevelcourseworkinbu s iness,management,engineering,orarela t e dfield.
• Four y earsofincreasinglyresponsiblefacility m a in t e nanceexpe r ienceincludingso m eleadsuperviso r yexperience.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Driving record must be within the approved insurance company’s regulations.

• Associates degree in engineering
• High Pressure Boiler Operators License.
