Position Summary

Maintains efficient operations of the Nursing Office. Performs clerical duties in maintenance of nursing staff schedules, compiling statistics and general receptionist duties. Communicates relevant information with the hospital staff, physicians, patients and family members as necessary. Maintains patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality and respects patients rights.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities : -Communicates with nurse managers, supervisors and nursing staff to provide coverage for leaves of absence, vacation, open positions, and acuity of patient census-Maintains timekeeping for nursing units-Enters approved data into Kronos time and attendance system Required :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year previous clerical experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Excel and WordPreferred :
  • Previous experience as Unit Clerk, Secretary or Receptionist
  • Previous working experience with Personal Computer
