Position Summary:
Provides overall technical direction and administration to marketing personnel. Allocates company resources to maximize collaboration, efficiency and creativity in the building and maintenance of consistent branding or corporate identity across marketing and public relations channels. Areas of responsibility may include internal/external communications, advertising and promotions, community relations, media relations, public relations and executive communication.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Plans and administers directly, and/or through subordinate supervisory personnel, the effective management and delivery of marketing services in accordance with organization and industry standards.
2. Ensures quality, financial, and customer service objectives are met.
3. Develops, secures approval of and administers capital and operating budgets in order to meet agreed-upon departmental goals and objectives. Develops and implements appropriate methods to monitor adherence to budgets and resolve variances.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, English, journalism or relevant field.
- Five years progressively more responsible management experience with at least one year of frequent involvement with senior management, physicians, other health care providers, and external providers and purchasers.
Preferred:
- Master of Business Administration.
