PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY
McLaren Greater Lansing is actively recruiting an Emergency Medicine Physician to join a new, free-standing 21-bed Emergency Department in Grand Ledge, MI. The new facility will include a pharmacy, lab, ultrasound, X-Ray, and CAT scan.
This single-coverage position offers 12-hour shifts, seeing approximately 28 patients per day. Plans are underway to add double coverage as daily volumes increase, with additional shifts providing coverage at McLaren Greater Lansing.
FACILITY HIGHLIGHTS
McLaren Greater Lansing is a tertiary teaching hospital with 240 acute-care beds, located on the southern edge of the Michigan State University campus in Lansing, Michigan.
The hospital moved to its new location on a healthcare campus in March 2022. It features a Level III Trauma Center/Emergency Department, Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute, comprehensive cardiac programs, medical/surgical units, and state-of-the-art women's and children's health services, including a modern birthing center.
Additionally, the Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren Greater Lansing and Outpatient Care Center are located on the same campus.
RESIDENCY PROGRAMS AND FELLOWSHIPS
McLaren Greater Lansing is affiliated with residency programs from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and the Statewide Campus System.
Residencies include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, anesthesiology, and obstetrics/gynecology. Fellowships are offered in cardiology, hematology/oncology, gastroenterology, and pulmonary/critical care.
McLaren Greater Lansing also participates in city-wide residency programs in emergency medicine, neurology, urology, psychiatry, and physical/rehabilitation medicine.
