Job Summary
A Cardiovascular Registered Nurse utilizes clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.
Job Responsibilities
The Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) is a critical member of our team, caring for over 4000 cardiology patients annually. Our services include procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers. We also specialize in the care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies.
NISUS research department manages many national clinical trials using CVU, helping us stay at the forefront of medical innovation. Our commitment to excellence has earned us a Silver level Beacon Award from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), and we were redesignated in 2017.

Requirements
- 1 year of experience
- Proficiency in Cardiac
- Travel required
- EKG comfortability
- Ability to float to similar units
- Michigan license verification is required
Schedule Information
McLaren Northern has implemented a strict attendance policy to ensure the best possible care for our patients. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift three times will be terminated effective immediately.
