Position Summary
Under general supervision, repairs, installs, adjusts, monitors, and maintains building HVAC / R, plumbing and electrical systems and performs skilled maintenance and repair tasks of the hospital building systems. Performs work to conform to quality standards and municipal codes.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
1.Troubleshootselectrical,electronic(includinganaloganddigital),pneumatic,and mechanicalequipmentandsystems
2.Performsoperatorandpreventivemaintenance,asspecifiedbymanufacturers,onequipmentandsystemsincluding electrical, electronic, pneumatic,mechanical; variespreventive maintenance intervalas dictated bymonitoredfailurerate.
3.Performssimple,aswellascompleterepairsofequipmentandsystems,asappropriate.
4.Researches,interpretsandapplieslocal,aswellasmanufacturers’technicaldata;readsandinterpretsengineeringdrawingsandspecifications.
5.Maintainsappropriateworkrecordsforcompliancewithrequirementsimposedbysuchentitiesas : The Joint CommissiononAccreditationofHealthcareOrganizations,State-wideHealthcarePlanningandDevelopment Office,andNationalFireProtectionAgency.
6.Completes work orders, record material utilized on jobs and other required documentation.
7.May also perform general maintenance and repair tasks as required.
8.Performs other related duties as required and directed.

1.Principlesandpracticesofinstalling,operating,maintainingandrepairinghospitalequipmentandsystems.
2.Shop,workplace,equipmentandtoolsafety.
3.Hazardousmaterialsencounteredinthehospitalenvironment.
4.Operation,maintenanceandrepairofvariouspumps,motors,centrifugalchillers,boilers,compressors,blowers,controlvalvesandswitches,andinstrumentsrelatedtoHVAC,andtodigitalandpneumaticcontrolsystems.
5.Operation,maintenanceandminorrepairoflargedieselengines,largegenerators,automatictransferswitches,transformer,meters,andelectricalpowerdistributioncenters.
6.Instruments,toolsandequipmentused intheinstallation,operation,trouble-shooting,maintenanceandrepairofcomplexhospitalelectrical,electronic,andmechanicalbuildingandutilitysystems.
Qualifications : Required :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of related experience.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Driving record must be within the approved insurance company’s regulations.
- 1 year painting experience
