Job Description: Auto Refinish Technician
Position Overview:
The Auto Refinish Technician is responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicle surfaces to restore them to their original condition or customize their appearance. This role involves sanding, masking, priming, painting, and finishing, while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has experience in auto refinishing, excellent attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare vehicles for refinishing by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces.
- Mix and apply primers, basecoats, clearcoats, and other coatings according to specifications.
- Inspect and assess damage to paint and surfaces, determining the necessary refinishing techniques.
- Match and mix paint colors to achieve accurate results.
- Operate and maintain spray guns, paint booths, and other tools and equipment.
- Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure a flawless finish.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding progress, issues, and timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Past experience or formal training in auto refinishing required.
- Basic set of tools for refinishing tasks.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Team-oriented with flexibility and a customer-focused mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Good attitude, work ethic, and commitment to quality.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
