Seeking a Security Monitor - Alarms to help support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Keyport Security Office in Keyport, WA. This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance. Responsible for monitoring and operating radio and telephone communications equipment, including the Secure Terminal Equipment (STE), naval message terminal, ordnance shipments, Lightning Detection and Display Alert System, Intrusion Detection Systems, monitor and operate badge reader access system terminal, and video surveillance security cameras. Receive, store and release classified material, monitor helicopter operations and make designated notifications, receive range craft and facility trouble calls, and maintain the Command Log. Inventory and issue keys form the Command’s Master key lockers.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to support a 24/7 operation, at times working varied shifts to include nights & weekends.
High school diploma or G.E.D. required and two years of experience in a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (emphasis: Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Must obtain a DoD secret security clearance prior to starting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior military or civilian security and/or Alarm Monitor experience preferred.
U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance required; current clearance a plus.
The hiring wage is $ 30.11 per hour.
