We have an exciting opportunity for a
Structures and Mechanisms Engineer, Commercial Low-Earth Orbit Program to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX .
If selected you will :
- Assist in review and development of hardware, analysis, operation, hazard reviews, anomaly resolution, requirements verification, re-flight assessments, and flight acceptance testing to name a few.
- As a multidiscipline team, members are encouraged to have an overall background and working knowledge of all the areas within Structures and Mechanisms.
- Expertise is not required, but willingness to learn and coordinate across other disciplines is highly desired.
- Subsystem Management support is needed for the new ESA Visiting Vehicle Development.
- This is ESAs first commercial vehicle, and it will demonstrate the ability to launch, dock and undock from ISS.
- Ideally the candidate will be outgoing and a self-starter. As time allows other duties will include USDV development and other ISS visiting vehicles.
- Candidate should be able to formulate presentations and present to boards as appropriate.
