We have an exciting opportunity for a System Engineering Team Lead for Orion Camera to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX .
If selected you will :
- The Systems Engineering Team Lead will be managing the SE activities of the Orion Camera
- Support engineering flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget and system requirements documents
- Develop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification / validation, operations, and sustaining engineering
- Conduct product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification, and validation activities
- Work with requirements to align with hardware specifications while understanding the verifications
- Perform system engineering functions of projects and provide user input feedback during the design process
- Work with ground testing and flight operations testing of hardware with end item documentation
- Review verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirements
- Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews
- Participate and contribute to support the development of Orion Con-Ops.
- Perform and review system level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall electrical design and performance
- Participate in test, verification, and operation of the as-built hardware
- Work with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responses
- Work and present schedule and progress to customers
- Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Perform other duties as required
