We have an exciting opportunity for a System Manager Lead for Avionics Projects to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX .
If selected you will :
- Serve as the System Manager and Subject Matter Expert for two Avionic Projects in the Avionic System Division at NASA Johnson Space Center working with NASA's Commercial Partnerships.
- Perform Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) activities including requirements, interfaces, verifications, and integrated performance throughout project lifecycle across internal and external organizations.
- Assess and document design compliance of NASA agency project requirements to commercial providers.
- Maintain and update requirements including Verification Requirements and Interface Requirements Documents.
- Track and maintain requirement documents on task schedule.
- Track and report financial data for the project to the customer in presentations and document tracking systems.
- Support the verification activities including verification objectives and procedures, end to end testing development and reviewing Verification Completion Notices.
- Develop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification / validation, operations, and sustaining engineering tasks.
- Conduct product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification, and validation activities.
- Review verification and validation reports to verify compliance with project requirements.
- Participate and contribute to System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Mission Concept Reviews (MCR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR) and Critical Design Reviews (CDR).
- Perform and review system level architecture trade studies and analyses that will influence the overall electrical design and performance.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
