Job Purpose :
McLean Bible Church (MBC) is seeking a Barista to join our Café team. The position is responsible for preparing high-quality beverages. ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate must have a passion for coffee, experimenting with flavors, developing new drinks, and showing creativity through presentation. The individual must also be able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Work Schedule : Sundays only : 7 : 30 am to 2 : 00 pm
Responsibilities (Essential Functions) :
- Prepare and serve coffee, coffee-based drinks, tea, and other beverages following Café recipes and guidelines
- Take customer orders and provide friendly, efficient service
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment
- Ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients and supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning equipment and utensils
- Promote new products, specials, or seasonal offerings to customers
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure smooth operations and safe food handling
- When necessary, assist with processing payments (via cash, credit / debit cards) and do so accurately
- Assist in restocking inventory as needed
- Support team members and help with other tasks when necessary.
