STAFF PSYCHOLOGIST POSITION AT MCLEAN HOSPITAL


McLean Hospital, America's top ranked freestanding psychiatric hospital, is inviting applications for a Staff Psychologist at McLean Fernside located in Princeton, MA.

Fernside offers exceptional residential treatment that provides individuals the tools to achieve and maintain abstinence from drugs and alcohol, reclaim a sense of self-worth, and learn to manage the stresses of an active life. The staff psychologist will conduct clinical psychology with patients using psychosocial techniques to facilitate more flexible and successful adaptation to the demands of psychological development and of the environment (i.e. family, school, community and employment). The position requires clinical psychology knowledge and practice incorporates a variety of models including psychodynamic, biological, supportive, cognitive behavioral, exploratory-interpretive, motivational, or educational. Successful candidate will provide clinical services for assigned patients, as well as to participate in the activities of the program. Incumbents are encouraged to participate in other hospital activities and will contribute to the teaching mission of the hospital with oversight of post-docs and other staff members.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology from an accredited school of psychology. Licensed as a Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Salary and recruitment package in accordance with Hospital policies, and a Harvard Medical School appointment at the academic rank of Lecturer, Instructor or Assistant Professor (full or part time) will be contingent on meeting the requirements for an HMS appointment and candidate qualifications including Massachusetts medical license and being board certified/board eligible.
