McLean Packaging is a designer and manufacturer of corrugated packaging and displays for retail and eCommerce. The packaging industry has never been more promising. The rise of e-commerce has created many opportunities and retail continues to flourish.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Prospecting:
- Develop your own leads, qualify companies, confirm credit on possible prospects
- Create strategies to approach companies that prove the innovation and capabilities of McLean
- Work with internal resources to develop solutions and the right approach to customer problems/opportunities
- Document all account activity for each company and contact
- Provide updates and progress reports on all activity
- Develop a schedule to visit retail and conduct research to stay current with trends of the marketplace, prospects and customer base
- Continuously qualify and grow prospect list
- In today's environment, sales rep is required to come up with creative ways to communicate to prospects and customers
Account Management:
- Lead internal support team on the daily activity of the account – design, pricing, approvals, receipt of purchase orders, new order meetings, customer press approvals, logistics
- Manage and communicate customer expectations for the overall business and the different stages of a project
- Look for opportunities to increase our reach within the customer’s organization for new relationships and new business
- Work with quality and operations to address and resolve customer complaints
- Develop account plan to establish a road map to achieve account goals to maintain and grow business
- Keep account receivables current with agreed upon terms
- Entertain customer when appropriate
General:
- Maintain professionalism with customers and McLean staff at all times
- Focus on profitable business and ways to reduce or eliminate cost
- Stay current with the competition and the marketplace
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of sales experience required
- Degree in related field preferred
