McLean School (mcleanschool.org), a K-12 co-educational independent school in Potomac, Maryland, seeks applicants for the Long-Term Substitute Athletic Trainer position (Maternity Leave Coverage) from August 19–December 20 (approximately 4 months).

The Long-Term Substitute Athletic Trainer provides athletic training services for all home athletic contests and practices. The Athletic Trainer also provides emergency care for after-school activities. The person in this role must make sound decisions under pressure regarding the need for professional attention, treatment choice, and authorization of athletes to return to activity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field
- Current certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers
- State licensure as an Athletic Trainer in Maryland
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Provide preventive care, emergency treatment, and rehabilitation services to student-athletes.
- Conduct injury evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Monitor and manage athletic injuries, including concussion protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and progress.
- Assist in the development and implementation of injury prevention programs.
- Collaborate with coaches, school nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide first aid and emergency care during athletic events and practices.
- Educate student-athletes on injury prevention and management.
