McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently searching for a Full-time Patient Access Specialist. This is a remote position, with varying shift hours ranging from 5 : 00 am - 4 : 00 pm.
How will you help us achieve our mission? You will :
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient financial eligibility.
- Identify patient account errors, coding mistakes, as well as patient underpayment or overpayment, and rectify them accordingly.
- Facilitate problem-solving and works with management to implement improvement processes including front office coordinator training when needed.
- Resolve any issues relating to the patient account.
- Assist staff with financial contract management.
- Maintain and update department schedule of providers' availability.
- Schedule as necessary to maximize reimbursement.
- Provide additional support and backup care to the Scheduling Coordinator.
- Assist in authorization management.
What are the qualifications needed for this role?
We require a minimum high school diploma. Progressive experience working in fields involving healthcare, behavioral health, or substance use disorders is highly preferred.
