2025 Salary range for this position is $14.21 - $21.32 depending on experience.
Position Summary
The Parks / Fairgrounds Worker is responsible of performing a variety of tasks in the maintenance and upkeep of the County Parks. Work may include physical labor and a wide variety of activities both indoors and outdoors. Work is assigned by immediate supervisor and is subject to supervision and inspection.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities

Position Duties
- Meets the public as required, giving information on facilities, rules, regulations, and related information.
- Cleans restrooms in park areas and may assist in the maintenance of buildings and other facilities.
- Mows lawns, plants and trims trees, and has some knowledge of the variety of trees and shrubs in the parks.
- Does pick and shovel work on road and trails, maintenance and construction, and cleans culverts and catch basins.
- Performs heavy work in loading and unloading of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Clears and cuts brush and weeds.
- Rakes, weeds, sods, edges, and waters lawns and trims vines and shrubbery.
- Operates other mechanical equipment.
- Performs general grounds keeping.
- Cleans restrooms and may assist in the maintenance of buildings and other facilities.
- Assist with the set-up and teardown of chairs, equipment, etc.
- Cleans in preparation for event set up.
