What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Runner / Busser position at McLoone's Restaurants?
The Rum Runner is seeking customer service oriented Food Runners and Bussers to join our team! Must work well as part of a team. We provide our guests with an enjoyable dining experience in a lively atmosphere, 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.
The responsibility of the Bussing Staff and Food Runners is to act as a support to servers throughout the shift. You will prepare the dining room for guests by setting, clearing and cleaning tables and bringing menu items from the kitchen to the guests tables. Attentive and outgoing persons are best suited for these positions.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Preparing tables with condiments, candles, napkins, plates, and utensils.
- Maintains table setting by removing plates as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; assist with patron spills and other special needs.
- Adheres to sanitation and safety policies
- Supports servers in all areas of the guests dining experience.
- Food runners must be able to both visually and verbally identify and describe all menu items.
- Assist in cleaning the dining room at the end of the shift and preparing it for the following shift.
Additional duties:
Physical strength to carry trays of food, plates, glasses and utensils. Maintain cleanliness of tables, floor and other areas in his daily routine. They should have the interpersonal skills to work with the other staff in the establishment. Must possess the ability to adhere to authority and easily follows directions given.
It will always be required to be punctual and appear neat and clean.
