The DSC Vendor Specialist is responsible for assisting the team and 100 Debt Settlement Companies (DSC’s) in managing daily operations. This position includes creating relationships, responding to requests for account information, providing offers, setting up plans, updating accounts, following up with DSC’s and investigating and solving issues. Daily requirements also include answering an average of 25 phone calls per Vendor Specialist and monitoring automated and manual processes to ensure the proper handling of DSC accounts. This position is also responsible for communicating updates, addressing issues, and providing remediation requirements to our existing processes. The Vendor Specialist must also address system and hardware issues they are experiencing through the ticketing system and reporting same for any issues the DSC’s are experiencing. The role requires conducting audits of some processes and supporting other team members when necessary to ensure adherence to 24-hour SLA for responding to requests. The DSC’s require extensive hand holding and it is the Vendor Specialists responsibility to provide them with the best possible customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Process settlement requests and payments, respond to requests for account information, update accounts, answer phones, monitor automated and manual processes, investigate and solve issues, communicate updates to DSC’s, address account issues, provide remediation requirements, address system and hardware issues through ticketing system for Vendor Specialist and DSC, auditing of certain processes, supporting team members to ensure department meets SLA requirements and provide the best possible customer service to the DSC.
Build relationships and understand the needs of the DSC and make every effort to provide the support that ensures a successful relationship.
Ensure adherence to 24-hour SLA when responding to all requests. Support team members when needed to ensure the SLA is achieved for all Vendor Specialists and the DSC Department.
Oversee and makes suggestions for improvements to daily automated and manual processes. Includes communicating updates to existing processes and reporting issues to DSC’s. Document suggested improvements, delivering test examples/outcome, providing overall impact of change.
Conduct audits of various processes to ensure proper handling of accounts. Review exceptions and addresses with DSC’s or Manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years customer service or clerical field, proficient in Microsoft
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong oral and written communication skills
