About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented First Shift Supervisor / Shift Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy manufacturing facility. This key role will be responsible for leading and motivating a team to achieve production goals while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This position requires a bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking individual.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead team members in the pallet room and corrugated assembly area.
- Monitor and track daily production output, identifying and addressing any bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Work closely with the Shipping Manager to understand inbound and outbound activities.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and quality control procedures.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with employee training and development.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Forklift operator certification is a plus.
Salary : $48,000
