What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Scrub Tech position at MCMH?
40 hours per week. OR experience and call required. Certification preferred but not required. Will be responsible for scrubbing all specialties and help in sterile processing. Duties include: Preparing operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring all instrumentation is sterilized and functioning properly, assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and other supplies, maintain sterile environment to minimize risk of infection, monitor and account for all surgical instruments and supplies throughout the procedure, assist with patient positioning, apply surgical dressings, help with specimen preparation and delivery to lab, restock operating rooms as needed, assist with sterilization and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and instruments, and other duties as assigned.
