About Our Opportunity
McMillan Electric Company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electronics Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building, testing, and verifying new motors and controls, as well as conducting application testing using various measurement and electrical test equipment.
- We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong understanding of scientific principles and creativity to troubleshoot and resolve problems at an electronic component level.
- Familiarity with electric motors, electronic circuits, microprocessor chips, and their programming is essential for this role.
- Possessing soldering skills and understanding of IPC standards is also highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Process new motor requests from concept to customer submittal.
- Conduct measurement and analytical testing using laboratory equipment, including sound meters, oscilloscopes, stroboscopes, magtrol computerized dynamometers, and Fluke data collectors.
- Prepare and present technical test reports, such as computerized speed/torque curves, noise analyses, environmental testing, and temperature/humidity testing.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years' work-related experience in an electronics field or an Associate's degree in an electronics-related discipline.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
