As a Product Development Specialist, you will be responsible for creating product drawings, writing specifications and general drafting using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. You will interface with customers, vendors, and all levels of the organization regarding drawings and specifications.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD design and a keen eye for detail. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Create models and implement design improvements, design concepts and layouts.
- Resolve product and application issues that may arise.
- Generate new or revise existing drawings and specifications for electric motors, components, tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment layout.
- Calculate material requirements, compile material lists, and maintain specification files.
- Interpret drawings and specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or 2 years of professional experience in utilizing 2D and 3D CAD programs.
- Able to use small hand tools and measuring devices.
- Team player with strong project management skills and take initiative.
- Ability to problem solve, use scientific principles and creativity to troubleshoot problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
