Overview:
We are seeking an Experienced Associate Attorney who has a passion for criminal defense to help take our growing law firm to the next level. We are not your typical law firm. We are poised for aggressive growth, and we’re looking for an attorney who is organized, self-motivated, and works well with a team . You need to be able to manage a criminal case load, assign tasks to legal assistants, and effectively communicate with clients inside and outside of the courtroom.
The Job
- Represent clients in Criminal District and Superior Court across multiple Counties in NC.
- Conduct client meetings and recommend strategies
- Delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants and monitor their work
- Misdemeanor and Felony criminal cases: discovery, pleadings, and motions; pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and criminal trials.

Qualifications
· Strong legal research skills using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
· Excellent writing and legal drafting abilities
· Proficient in communication and analysis skills
· Jury trial experience is preferred
· 5 years of Criminal Law experience
· Admitted to and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar
Salary
Salary range is between $80,000 - $120,000 and is commensurate with skill and experience. The compensation package includes base salary plus bonus compensation for production and performance. We offer health, dental, and vision insurance. We also offer paid time off (PTO). We pay for approved continuing legal education, bar dues, and some approved voluntary bar memberships.
