We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist and medical assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Collect patient information and verify insurance details.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Handle phone inquiries and provide information about services offered.
- Learn our billing and coding practices within our speciality.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
- Stay informed about anatomy, physiology, and medical-surgical procedures to assist in patient care effectively.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical coding and terminology is helpful.
- Familiarity with outpatient services, and hospital medicine preferred but not necessary.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office software.
- A background in anatomy knowledge and physiology is advantageous.
- Previous experience in medical administrative support is preferred but not required.

Pay: $16.68 - $21.00 per hour
