We're looking for a Cutter Operator - are you ready to explore your career with us? Efficiently set-up, operate and perform preventative maintenance on a cutter machine in accordance with manufacturing orders (MO) and the production schedule.
Compliance with company operating, safety and housekeeping procedures, practices, and policies.
May provide some direction to the Packers in the department.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL High school or trade school graduate or equivalent GED with 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Excellent mechanical ability and manual dexterity.
Able to read and understand Manufacturing Orders (MO) and use common machine measuring equipment.
Able to follow and understand JHAs and GMP policies.
Basic reading and math skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team environment.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Sets-up, operates and adjusts cutter equipment to manufacturing order (MO) and Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) and to the production schedule requirements while following all Good Manufacturing practices (GMP), Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), and Food Safety guidelines.
Manufactures product to size, appearance, count, and other requirements to ensure the product meets the quality specifications.
Performs preventative and production maintenance for routine repairs by utilizing hand and power tools.
Understands and interprets production requirements by manufacturing orders (MO) as well as written and verbal instructions.
May provide direction to the Packers in the department.
Organizes work area in a clean and efficient manner to perform processes according to established standards, productivity levels, housekeeping, and safety requirements.
Informs supervisor of operation deviations or mechanical problems when they occur.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Applicants must be comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
Hearing protection and steel toed shoes are required.
Safety, hygiene and cleanliness is strictly enforced.
Applicants must be able to engage in periods of long standing and walking, and perform consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Compensation Range : $18.00 - $19.00 hourly.
Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.
