What You'll Do
Our McNeely’s Store & Rental - Franklin's location is now hiring for a full-time rental and sales associate! Job responsibilities include inside customer sales, rental equipment customer service, small-engine sales and parts, stocking inventory, loading and unloading rental equipment and sales items, and helping to maintain a busy store. Qualified applicants will need to have excellent customer service skills, excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, be able to lift 50 pounds, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with equipment and small-engine sales is preferred, although not required. Responsibilities
- Have a positive, can do safe attitude each day!
- Ensure high levels of customer service.
- Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries, in person and over the phone.
- Help to maintain a busy store including keeping the store clean and presentable. Assist in keeping equipment clean, inventory stocked, and deliveries scheduled.
- Process POS (point of sale) purchases and accurately complete rental contracts for customers.
- Cross sell products and help recommend items to help the customer get their project completed.
- Handle returns of merchandise.
- Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service.
- Build productive trust relationships with co-workers and customers.
- Comply with inventory control procedures.
- Suggest ways to improve our store and its processes.
- Availability to work 45 hours per week during business hours 7am-5pm.
- Availability to work some Saturday shifts from 8am-12pm.
Skills
- Have a positive, can do attitude!
- Proven work experience as a retail sales associate, experience in rental equipment, experience in power equipment, or similar role. Although experience is preferred, it is not necessary for this position.
- Mechanic experience and small engine certifications. This is not required for the position but would benefit potential candidates.
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Proficiency in English.
- Basic math skills.
- Hands-on experience with POS transactions a plus.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- High school degree
