Associate Attorney (Data Security)

McNees Wallace & Nurick is seeking an Associate to join our growing Privacy & Data Security Group and Litigation Group. This position can work from our Harrisburg, Pa., Radnor, Pa., Pittsburgh, Pa., or Baltimore Md. locations with hybrid opportunities available based on experience.

McNees’ Privacy & Data Security Group:

• Guides businesses and organizations in their compliance with U.S. and international privacy regulations
• Helps negotiate complex transactions involving the transfer and processing of personal information 
• Assists clients in responding quickly and effectively to mitigate cyberattacks and other data exposure events, and 
• Defends companies in class action litigation arising from data breaches and alleged privacy violations. 

Desired Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school with active licensure in Pa or Md
• 1-3 years of experience in privacy and cybersecurity law, ideally with exposure to litigation and regulatory matters
• CIPP certification a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills 
• Self-motivated, driven, and detail-oriented

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $111,000 - $154,000. Your compensation will be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications.
