MCNEESE STATE UNIVERSITY is accepting applications to fill the position for Adult Health Clinical Assistant Professor of Undergraduate Nursing. This is a full-time, 9-month, unclassified, non-tenure-track position. This position requires in-person teaching on campus. The appointment is available immediately.

POSITION DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Clinical Assistant Professor, a faculty member in the Undergraduate Nursing Degree Program, has responsibilities that include but are not limited to : administration, teaching, university / community service, and research / scholarly work. Specific duties include : implementing University and College policies and procedures; implementing the program curricula; participating in curriculum and course planning, implementation, and evaluation; student advisement; mentoring; assisting in evaluating clinical settings and experiences related to the course and student learning needs; planning clinical experiences for students and evaluating the clinical competence of students; serves on University and College of Nursing committees; participates in the community by offering volunteer services and / or offering consultation and / or in-service education to clinical agencies or community agencies / organizations; and initiates and / or participates in nursing research activities.

REQUIRED / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Required :

• Bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing are required.
• Academic preparation includes degree specialization, specialty coursework, or other preparation sufficient to address the qualifications.
• At least two years of clinical practice are required in the nursing field of expertise and current, unencumbered licensure in Louisiana.
• Requires in-person teaching on campus
